A concert to remember
Towards evening , we came to the main beach area of Clear Lake where for the first time, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra was performing for the public in the open air! I was thrilled to be able to attend such a beautiful concert , but equally thrilled was my plein air painting experience to record visually what I saw right on the spot.
Aspen Wood on Lake Katherine
After our picnic right on the shore of the lake, we decided to paint more on the lake. I moved away from the edge of the lake and came to face to face with this stretch of aspen wood!
O, Lake Katherine !
We drove straight to Lake Katherine to paint this morning. Standing there with my easel surrounded by absolute serenity is a heavenly experience.

A glimpse over the hedges
Standing on our patio, and looking over the hedges into Maureen's backyard, I set up my easel and panted this quick oil sketch again intense morning sunlight.

A glimpse of our backyard
It is hard to get back to painting after a two -week trip to Europe with my visual over stimulation there. To get inspired again with daily surroundings takes a bit of readjustment.
