A beautiful home on 13th Street steeped in winter morning sunshine
Driving down 13th Street this morning around 10:30 and caught sight of this house on 13th Street between Louise Avenue and Lorne Ave of Brandon , I pulled up my car, set up my easel and painted this house which I remember so impressed me in my early years living in Brandon in the early 90s. Whose house was this ? I always wondered whenever I passed by.

Brandon Rideau Park at 2 p.m
Started this painting when it was rather cloudy , however, towards the end, the sun came out of the clouds changing everything in sight. I adjusted the colour therefore to it against what I normally would do.

A beautiful home on Percy Street Brandon
Drove out to the east end of Brandon to paint on Percy Street Darlene Paquette's beautiful home! It was sunny and warm when I started around 10:20 this morning, however, it turned cloudy with drizzle of rain less than two hours later. I am so glad that I was able to capture the sunny moment before it rained when the rain drop started to accumulate on my palette ! Never had I painted in rain in Manitoba winter yet!

A sunny morning on New Years Day
Our backyard in the intense morning sunlight is the subject of my first plein air painting of the new year.
