Sunday morning in front of our house on Balmoral Bay
What a beautiful Sunday morning when the fresh fallen snow on the roof glistened against a azure sky ! I could feel the presence of spring despite the subzero temperature when I did this oil sketch in front of our house on Balmoral Bay this morning.

Quiet back alley
I could feel the draft of cold air on my back as I was painting this view late in the afternoon. Snow was on its way again.

Across the street on Balmoral Bay
With the last sunlight on the houses across the street and with most of the snow gone and translated into puddles of water, I finally could sense the presence of spring while standing there painting this view at the end of our driveway late in the afternoon.
