Fotheringghay's church of St. Mary and All Saints
A distant view of Fotheringhay's church of St.Mary and All Saints from the bridge over the River Nene.
Thanks to Inge Horváth Skliros , my dream of painting in English country finally came true at that moment!

From Wordsworth's Daffodile Garden in Grasmere in England's lake District
What could be more thrilling to paint on this spot only a few steps away from Wordsworth's tomb and right beside a slate stone engraved with the last stanza from his famous poem about daffodils
" For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils"

And then my heart with pleasure fills,

From Windermere, Lake District in England!
My first ever plein air painting painted just a few steps away from Ivy Bank B & B where we stayed during our three day trip to England's Lake District. A quintessential English street in Windermere early in the morning with cloudy sky

Brandon, Assiniboine River , its skyline
It
is my way perhaps to come to this quiet spot on Assiniboine River in
Dinsdale Park early this morning with my French easel , and brush and
paint to silently mark the quick approach of my 24th anniversary of
moving to Brandon from China. I will always remember how I was enchanted
by the view unfolding in front of me when I first stepped into this
park a few days after I arrived in Brandon almost 24 years ago. It was
so quiet in the park that the only other sound that I could hear was the
lapping of the water against the shore. All of a sudden, it came back
to me the same surge of emotions that touched my heart deeply 24 years
ago.
Talking about my earliest memory of Brandon, I do not know why it is always Chopin's piano concerto no.1 , especially its second movement and Camille Saint-Saëns violin concerto no3 especially its second moment that always bring back what I emotionally went through from my earliest years here in Brandon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3emHfytb_i8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gSkJnEjD54
