two pots of geranium in the last light
A glimpse out of the window , I saw the two pots of geranium on our patio glowed in the last light of the day. A quick oil sketch.

A glimpse of a busy street in Wasagaming
The young fellow who started to play cello on the street at one of the busking spots attracted me to this spot for my second painting for the day
A delightful discovery !
Found myself inside the visitor guide of 2012 of Riding Mountain National Park of Canada. The picture shows me doing a demonstration painting next to the park office building on the occasion of my outdoor painting workshop in the summer of 2009
Strolling along the main beach of Clear Lake on a cloudy morning
We drove back to Clear Lake again this morning to meet up with DeLee from Saskatchewan who came to the lake to paint with me. It was cloudy when I started this painting close to the main beach , and soon the sunlight started to break out of the clouds.

Sailing in the setting summer sun
After a quick early supper at the picnic table close to the main beach, I decided to do one more painting as the sun started to move low towards horizon and the surface of the lake was touched by the brilliance of the late afternoon sunlight.
Came to Clear Lake with paintings for the show

Looking out from our driveway in the morning
Came back to rest a bit after the first painting, and decided to paint another one from our driveway looking out onto the street. It was very hot today.
In full morning sunshine
Went across the street with my easel early in the morning to paint when the full morning sunlight was on our house. Half way through the painting , Fengping dropped by to check out her garden.

A view to remember
There is an unsettling feel about painting from this particular spot on Hub of the University of Alberta being always aware of the crime scene so close by from that June shooting on campus this summer.

Back to the Rutherford House on U of A campus
Painted this view early in the morning when the full sunlight was on the front of Rutherford House. We came back in the afternoon to have our high tea in the famed house on the same day.

A heritage building in Gladstone
Started this painting around 1 p.m when it was extremely hot and humid setting up right on the side of the street. This building called Galloway is one of most well know heritage buildings of the town.
A Gladstone landmark
Visited Gladstone for the first time ever today. Went with Becky who was going to conduct a Chinese brush painting workshop there. Painted this grain elevator there on one of the hottest days of the year! Thanks to two local ladies who were kind enough to offer me a ride around the town to give a break from the heat exhaustion , I was able to finish this painting and tried the next one as well.

A Brandon Skyline
Drove to Dinsdale Park to paint this morning when it was so quite there. Standing on a boat lunching platform there to paint was a delightful experience despite of the hot temperature and sun burn I received.
